10 more random tidbits

So if you thought learning 10 tidbits from elementary school was totally awesome....well hold on to your wigs and keys.

10 random tidbits from Middle School:
1. Had a science teacher named Mrs. Alzheimer. We all thought that was simply hilarious.
2. Had a math teacher named Mr. Mather..no joke. Equally hilarious.
3. Health teacher was the spittin image of Huey Lewis and he loved it.
4. In 7th grade was the ASB vice pres.
5. Ran for pres in 8th and lost.....shouldn't have run..knew it was a losing battle. Same opponent each year...grrrrr.
6. Played volleyball and basketball in 7th and 8th grade.
7. Wore completely disgusting uniforms from the 1960s that were a bit on the short side.
8. Had my dad wear my 8th grade basketball uniform for a few hours to stretch it out. That beautiful incident happened at home in case anyone was wondering.
9. Had fabulous bangs..didn't we all?
10. First "will you go out with me" boyfriend in 7th grade was one Mr. Chad Vandine. I've since been found by his wife on Facebook. Well how 'bout that.

Does anyone find these tidbits remotely entertaining besides me? Well I know my sister will cause she's cool like that...but I have 80 more facts to go and by golly.....I'm sharing!

Your sister totally is cool like that--did you say that you truly were found by Mrs. Chad Vandine?? Wow!! You had to love HMS, I never had Mrs. A. for science, but we did always wonder how she got a disease named after her and why she wanted to pick that particular one... Mr. Mather was the all-time best math teacher and how could he not be?? In my 2 years with him, I think he missed a total of 2 days. He always told us that if it ever happened that he wasn't there, it would be a day off for us because he didn't want a sub to "get us all messed up." He was serious about math, and serious about getting us to get math, not to mntion serious about having the few items on his desk arranged in a seriously precise manner, fantastic fella. Almost as good as Mrs. Englisher, Mr. Geologer, Ms. Hand, and Mr. Fish--oh wait, Ms. Hand and Mr. Fish were real...good times; yes the times were good, unfortunately, however, my hair and glasses were not so good, hmmm...
The sweet and fierce Scottie uniforms were easily 25-30 years out of date (the words "thick," "tight," and "short" all come to mind) way back in the 80's. Dad was an all-star there, stretching out your uniform--I recall him graciously attempting to help stretch out my sweet "hot aqua" drill team muscle shirt when I reached that magical freshman status! Why the person responsible for ordering costumes/uniforms thought "muscle shirts" and "high school drill team girls" went together I just don't know. Perhaps that was why one year was enough for this Lionette...
For the record, Mr. Sinclair absolutely could have pulled off a "Parent Trap"-esque trade with Huey Lewis, and no one would have been the wiser. I don't know if Mr. Sinclair could've belted out "Power of Love" quite the same, but hey--it was the 80's and the guy looked just like Huey Lewis and was at our school every single day! Pretty awesome...
Just FYI and FMB (that's "for my benefit," not to be confused with PYT, although you so qualify in that category) I think you may need to come up with 10 more gems from the middle school years--there's just so much material to work with, hmmm...

I think I may have been excessive in my "hmmm"-ing, I'm just so deep in thought, hmmm...

Didn't remember that you were a Scottie too, how fun. I probably wore one of those stretched out uniforms after you were done with it. What a great Dad! :)

I also find it somewhat sad that I never made the connection between Mr. Mather and Math. My continuous state of adolecent terror must've blinded me on that one. Good list, loved your sister's memories too... Heather

Oh, I find your lists completely Amusing! Mrs. Alzheimer? THAT is awesome! How does one get so lucky? Any pictures of your dad wearing your uniform? THAT would be a sight to see!

Well I am holding on to my wigs and keys for the next 10. I feel like I am getting to know you better and better each time you post all this interesting stuff about your life pre-Kyle. You are a very intriguing person.

I LOVE IT! I don't have many cool memories from PMS, I think it was because I was in my poor-me-and-my-afro stage. Puberty stinks. I would also love to see some pics of Paul squeezing into/stretching out the uniform. I am so looking forward to 80 more!
