We're back...and you can print that!

The sun is shining...I thoroughly enjoyed my muscle flex classes this week (thanks to my wonderful Deb), I went to bed at 9:30ish last night...I am feeling soooooo much better. Besides Monday when Kyle actually CAME HOME from work cause he wasn't feeling too hot, the Thomas crew is on the mend. It's not a shocker what sunshine and working out will do for this lady. I haven't yet bounced back to making home cooked goodness everynight but that will come in time. Until then, soup or cereal??

So the big news of the day....Jack made the local paper. His 1/2 grade class was subjected to watching the inauguration of the Messiah for an enormous amount of time and then write about it....fun times! My clever, hilarious, and opinionated 1st grader stated this for print:

"I didn't vote for Barack Obama and I'm wondering how long we have to watch this thing?"

I am beaming with pride today and I do believe those same exact words were uttered from my mouth.

The "Messiah" - that's how he sounds sometimes, doesn't he? I love Jack's quote.

I'm glad you guys are almost 100%. Can we just forget January of 2009? It's been a total waste at our house.

That is brilliant...no other words.

As I was sitting next to him by his desk prior to writing those immortal words, he was struggling to figure out if it was OK to voice his opinion because it was so against the general "vibe" at school. I have to admit, I encouraged him to write exactly what he was thinking. Good for him for sticking to his guns and writing his thoughts in spite of that. You have taught your padwa well momma-son. PS Did you get my voice mail Tuesday?

Does this mean that I've got 4 more years of excellent takes from Mr. Jack to look forward to? When b-day time rolls around for the budding pundit, I'm thinking an Aretha Franklin-esque hat?? Good stuff...
