Red, white, and blue...review!

So this last weekend was blast- yes, I know, quite original. We- along with every other proud patriot celebrated with friends for the 4th. All Thomas' were decked out in holiday appropriate gear. Did their mother take one picture of all 3 TOGETHER...noooo, so here's my version of photo-shop:

Jack- a disappointed consumer of the "flying panda" firework his cheapo mother purchased. Come on, I thought anything that FLEW would be cool...and pandas =waaaay cool. It didn't fly. See that stick....it slid up that lame-o stick and stopped. No flying-Don't buy it.
Cole was not pleased that I took his picture. He was our solid red representative.
Brody had the sampler platter of desserts. Notice the 2 tiny blue sprinkles on the verge of being inhaled on his nose. Yes, even the sprinkles were patriotic.
Had fun with this guy.

Enjoyed these from a distance.
Made this gut busting cake full of yumminess.Thank you Barefoot Contessa, and THANK YOU AMERICA!

Star-spangled and super: the wardrobe, the sparklers, and way to tie it all together with the fancy-pants, multi-berry cake!! Granny B. would've loved that one...

Hooray for your successful Barefoot Contessa cake - I've wanted to try that all year, but didn't get around to it. YUM. Boo for the gimpy flying Panda firework. Nothing was more disappointing than a "work" that didn't. Great pictures!

Are those strawberries, raspberries and BLUEBERRIES on one cake? If only there was a little salmon Aaron would be in heaven!! It does look scrumptious. What a fun 4th.

Love the cake!--was it gluten free? (I'm still waiting for a call back for resources.) I love your entries because I feel like we're having a one-on-one conversation. :)

Your blog is so funny, "junie B. Jones and the crappy pants"--priceless. The cake looked awsome.
